Apostille of Bank Statement for Czech Student Visa application

Hello! Is anyone here currently in the process of preparing their documents for a visa application, or has anyone been granted a visa by the Czech Embassy in Manila? Pina apostille nyo ba yung bank statement nyo? Nakalagay kasi sa site ng CZ Embassy in Manila "Foreign public documents must be legalized, i.e. equipped by an apostille or superlegalized.".

If nagpa apostille kayo, may pre-requisite ba nagagawin like ipa notarize sa notary public muna yung bank statement before going to DFA for apostille?

Has anyone applied and been accepted abroad without latin honors?

Title!

I just tried calculating my QPI (and tried to make predictions with my "future grades") and I realized that I'm graduating withOUT honors :((

I'm graduating next year and am planning on applying to Master's degrees for next year's intake, and I feel discouraged now. I have a kuya abroad who's willing to support me (supposedly), and I was kinda banking on that. But now I don't feel so sure.

That's why I'm turning to this sub, for some kind of hope for people like me. I'll take any answer, I just need to know.

TYIA!

Hello po! Incoming/1st year BS Psychology student po ako and medyo curious lang po about future career paths. Mas okay po ba mag-take ng BS Psych dito sa Philippines then abroad nalang for Master’s? Or mas better po mag-aral abroad as early as college?

Curious din po sana ako sa countries na affordable and okay for Psychology students. Any advice or experiences po? Thank you!

What's It Like Getting a Scholarship That Has a Language Requirement?

Hello! I can speak French, Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish but hovering in A2 and B1 but I don't have any certificates. I just study and talk to people for fun. I've seen scholarships with and without language proficiency requirements. Like, what's the difference in the experience or the opportunities that they give? I'm genuinely curious because I don't have a certificate and may start considering getting a couple if they are worth it. Thanks!

Tips for PSHS Student Applying for Japanese Universities

I'm currently an incoming Grade 12 student at Philippine Science High School (Main Campus), and I've been interested in studying in Japan for a while now. I'd like to hear some experiences, tips, or suggestions about similar situations to mine going into app season.

Right now, my Grade 11 GWA is at 1.200 ish (earlier years range from 1.4-1.3, G11 is my best performance so far). My SAT is looking to be around 1500 (hopeful), might take EJU in Nov-Dec. JLPT N5 certified. ECs include exchange programs, student and org leadership roles, and currently a Physics and Debate varsity member. No real competitions on my record though, only a national debate competition octofinalist award.

My top choices right now are Nagoya University (G30) and Kyoto University (iUP), taking AutoMech and CivilEngg/EnggSci respectively. I've read up on most surface-level info about applying (acads/grades prio, course choices, etc), so more niche/relevant knowledge would be extra helpful.

My preparation so far has been chill, but my gauge of whether or not I'd be a competitive applicant has been fluctuating over the past few months, so I'd like to know your experiences, even if not fully applicable, especially for Japanese unviersities. Also, how generous are they usually with scholarships?

I'd like to know more about the PSHS angle, as many sources online come from non-Sci HS angles, and I wanna know if I have a good shot. Thanks in advance, any input is greatly appreciated.

Help in picking which path to take as an International Student

Hello, it’s my first time here on Reddit and I’m still getting a hang of it but I’m currently a Senior Highschool student who’s interested in studying abroad in Netherlands for a course related to International Business and/or Logistics. However, after researching for days up to months, I’ve realized that there aren’t much information I could get about people from my country going through the application process for studying in a university. In my country, there is this thing you call “strands,” which are specialized pathways that align with your interests or the career/course you plan to take once you graduate senior highschool. I chose the Humanities and Social Sciences strand which in turn has less Mathematic/Business related subjects so this wouldn’t benefit me as much since I don’t plan on becoming a lawyer anymore.

Other than that, I am aware that there are two types of universities (pls correct me if I’m wrong): WO and HBO, with HBO being applied sciences. However, the diploma I’d graduate with from my school is only equivalent to a direct pathway to an HBO university, so I’ve been given these two options (I’m not quite sure if there are more) from what I’ve searched up:

  1. The HBO-P Route - I’ll be completing the first year of an HBO Bachelor’s program and obtain my propedeuse (P-certificate). Once I get my P-certificate with a high GPA (hopefully), I’ll apply for transfer to a WO university to start their Year 1. And since I’m a HUMSS student, I will have to take the OMPT-A exam or a similar deficiency test (pls correct me if I’m wrong..) and use the year to study/prepare for the exam as well
  2. International Foundation Year - I’ll be taking a Foundation Year in the related course like Business and Management at EUR, and I believe this wouldn’t benefit also tailor my math and academic skills to EUR requirements. However, I am aware that this’ll be a higher cost and google told me it does not grant a degree certificate like the HBO route if I do decide to stay.

Could I ask anyone to give me tips on this or help me decide which path to take which would benefit me especially in the future? I’m really eager to study abroad.

P.S. I apologize if this post is too long

is it possible for an average student to study abroad through scholarships programs?

Hi!

Thank you po!

A current DOST Graduate Scholar but planning to pursue PHD abroad

Hi. I was wondering if ever anyone here had experienced or had known someone who terminated their DOST graduate scholarship to pursue a fully-funded graduate studies abroad? I am currently a 1st year PhD student in the Philippines. After months of waiting, I got accepted for a fully-funded scholarship in the UK. It's been a dream to pursue molecular studies abroad, with great machineries and experties. I am willing to pay the total refund plus the 12% interest. However, I am worried that the DOST might not approved me terminating the scholarship and leaving the country. I was also a DOST graduate scholar during my MS. I don't know what to do now, but I really look forward to pursue my doctoral studies abroad. Please share your thoughts and experiences on the proper processes. Thanks!

I am currently a 3rd year high school student studying here in the Philippines and am hoping to study abroad on a scholarship in the future. How does applying to multiple unis + scholarships work?

Hi guys! I was wondering about the whole process or just a glimplse of applying to multiple international universities with scholarships, I've researched alot of countries and uni that offer intl scholarships, yet I'm still confused on the process of applying for multiple unis all at the same time.
I want to try pursuing college abroad, either in the States or in europe where I could get scholarships

Q.1 Do you have to draft different essays for each unis, and scholarship grant?

Q.2 Is it possible to apply to multiple unis that are on different countries, each country having atleast 3+ unis WITH SCHOLARSHIPS, or is that too much essay, exams, etc?

Q.3 In applying for admission for intl students, is it like in the ph where you have to do entrance exams? or is it— if not all, interview & merit based?

Q.4 Are most scholarships for intl students merit based? if it is, is that how people get multiple scholarships grants from different unis?

I want to work out all the odds, therefore I plan to apply to multiple countries and unis, with a scholarship ofc. I dream to study anywhere but here, Ik it won't be easy, but I thought that suffering abroad in a safe country is better than suffering here in the ph, I really hope anybody with experience, or even with the slightest bit of knowledge could reply🙏

Worth it ba mag loan for EMJM?

I received 100% tuition fee waiver, plus travel and health insurance for 2 years. Is it worth it to take a loan to cover living expenses in cases external funding would not be available even after trying? Please advise me! I really wanted to go to this program but I am not sure if the financial burden would be worth it. Countries are France, Finland, and Slovenia.

Main concern is visa approval for France. On top of the loan, think I can pool support from various member of the fam but would that be enough to have a long term visa approved in France?

School payment option NZ

School payment option

Hi, I just really need advice.

Nag-aallow ba yung mga schools diyan ng personal payment from relatives or ibang tao? May nakagawa na ba nito before?

PhD Advise

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some insights, especially from those who are currently first-year PhD students. I’m 28 and nearly finished with my Master’s. During my defense, I was asked about my future plans. I mentioned that a PhD isn’t a priority right now, as I want to focus on establishing career stability within the academia where I’m currently employed.

I have a few questions:

  1. Should I start the PhD application process now?

  2. Is there a disadvantage to pursuing a PhD later in life, particularly regarding age?

  3. What is the recommended track for someone teaching Biology with a focus on Ecology?

  4. How will I know if I am ready for the rigor of the PhD education?

Thank you and may the forces of the universe be always in your favor 💯💯
