Hello po! Now awaiting my VISA decision (positive me po na approved siyaa 🙏). Hingi lang po sana ako advice with international banking and accommodation hunting. Around Huddersfield area po me and nahihirapan po for accommodation. Mostly kasi need UK guarantor tapos full payment upfront o kaya naman po instalments. Maybe someone lives there or knows someone po regarding this.

Also, tried din po the school accommodations. Kaso po sold out iyong studios nila (I don't do well with sharing po, got terrible experiences huhu).

Hi everyone! I've looked into most student accommodations and seen that they mostly require a tenant replacement and full payment (I only have international guarantor).

Any other recommendations? Letting agencies I can check out that accepts international guarantors? Or those that accepts monthly rent payment? Budget is £400 to £600 per month. Preferably 10-5 minutes away from the uni.

Hi! I will be studying MSc in Forensic Science at the University of Huddersfield in September. International student from Southeast Asia btw

I wanted to ask advice about accommodations that already includes amenities such as laundry. I've been doing my research on websites about this but couldn't find one that actually fits what I need. For context, I prefer a private bedroom and bathroom (had a bad experience with sharing before), bills that include heaters, WiFi, gas, water, and electricity.

Also, my parents told me they would be covering everything except rent, so another question: is the salary enough to cover rent? For international students that's allowed to work 20hours per week during classes?

For the academics, any advice? Should i do advance readings? For the thesis project, should I have a clear idea now on what I wanna do?
