Building a Durban fishing charter app. Looking for honest feedback from anglers/skippers

The idea is pretty simple: booking fishing trips should be less of a mission.
Right now a lot of it happens through WhatsApp groups, calls, EFTs, “who’s got space?”, “what time are we launching?”, and then sometimes people book and don’t pitch. That’s rough for charters because they provision fuel, bait, crew, ice, etc.
What I’m trying to build is a place where anglers can see actual upcoming trips by area/type, like harbour, backline, deep, etc. You’d be able to check seats, price, launch time, target species, conditions, and book/pay properly. Charter operators would be able to list trips, manage bookings, and reduce no-shows.
I’m starting with Durban because this is home turf and the problem feels very real here.
Would love brutally honest feedback from local anglers and charter guys:
- Would you use something like this?
- What info do you need before booking a trip?
- Would you pay upfront if the cancellation/weather policy is clear?
- Would a page showing all upcoming harbour trips be useful?
- What would make you trust or not trust a charter listed online?
- What am I missing?
Also working on a Durban fishing conditions page, but still early days.
