Career crisis

I am not sure if this a thread for this. But I am currently residing in Tagum and I have been a remote software engineer for five years. Those five years have been tough, sa mga software engineers here, I know some of you know what i mean.

The profession is riddled with instability. Every year, there is always a new trend. I saw this change throughout the years. there was a time na time trackers were the norm. then became the web3 hype where every company was looking for web3 expertise, and now, everything is all AI. Not to mention, software is a very unstable business. I have been laid off multiple times because the company can no longer sustain the financial burden of a tech team.

For five years, I have been always under a lot of stress. For the most part, that was good stress. the stress that urges you to work hard and gives you something to look forward in the future.

But now, at 30 years old, nagka reflection ko. Will i be able to sustain this amount of pressure and daily uncertainty the older i get? i think there is more to life than consistently thinking about work and where would you be in the future.

I love software development and I love to code. I am happy sa tanan nga napundar nako with my profession. in five years, i went from a salary of 20k as a trainee to 180k as a fullstack developer. but now, what is a big salary if months go by with the only thing you have done is only work.

I am currently unemployed and have been for 4 months recovering from extreme burnout. Burnout at this age, how much more diba if i get older. is someone here in tagum who felt this way and made a career shift to something else? hopefully within the city lang sad para dili rasad ko need mag relocate. i was thinking of shifting to teaching, pero grabe ka gamay sa sweldo sa teachers. i mean dili jud maka buhi ang less than 30k na sweldo. i was thinking of getting into uniformed service, especially bombero, pero ma relocate man jud na ba. kung dako dako lang unta ang sweldo, i would love to go into teaching while pursuing a law degree.

i am thinking of doing some mundane and non high pressure sources of income as of the moment para dugay mahurut ang kwarta, like driving services (i have a toyota wigo) or be a coding tutor.

Maybe what i am looking for is a conversation. because you never know ma widen akong perception of how to move forward in life.

Treadmill

Hello mga ka Tagum runners. As we all know, sige na ug ulan noh. murag libog na kayo ba kanusa ta managan ug mag training.

So, I have been seriously considering getting a treadmill. But I don't want to make an expensive mistake.

So for the people here in Tagum na naa jud real experience with a treadmill that they frequently train on, what treadmill do you have, where did you but it, and what maintenance do you do to make sure it doesnt break?

Hopefully naay something na within the 50k range lang.
