Please help! We purchased our first home around 6 months ago and the old owners were very into gardening and we are very much not (but would love to be!). From what we can tell, This is a Japanese maple, but that's as far as our knowledge really goes. We are concerned that we've potentially over watered it but I am also just hoping that this is what it looks like in autumn?? We desperately dont want to kill it, please help! The last photo is what it looked like a few months ago (sorry I dont have a better photo)
