A small fundraiser for Nathan

Hey everyone,

I wanted to do something small to help Nathan from Horse the Band and his treatment.

A friend of mine here in Mexico made a small batch of shirts for me, and I’m bringing them with me to Pappy & Harriet’s. I’ll be selling them for $25 each, or feel free to pay a little more if you’d like to contribute exttra, which is roughly what it cost me to have them made plus a little extra to go directly toward Nathan’s fundraiser. I’m not making a profit from these.

I can only bring a limited number into the U.S., so there are just 16 shirts available:

Pink

- S ×1

- M ×2

White

- L ×2

- XL ×5

Black

- L ×1

- XL ×5

The design is inspired by one of my favorite Horse the Band songs, “Horse the Song,” and features the Nathan lyric:

«Living at the top / When you’re at the fucking bottom»

They’re simple shirts, but I thought it would be a cool way for a few of us to show some support while also helping Nathan.

I’ll have them with me at Pappy & Harriet’s. If you want one, just send me a message or find me there.

And if you don’t want a shirt but would still like to help, you can donate directly here:

Thanks, everyone. Horse the Band has given a lot of us some pretty unforgettable music. This is just a small way of giving something back.

Roll call: How long are you driving to see Horse the Band?

I'll be driving 2 hours and 50 minutes this time.

My wife is coming with me. She always teases me about Horse the Band and laughs every time i scream trying to fallow Nathan singing.

How long are you driving, and who is you copilot?

CEOs... what's one skill that actually made you better, and one weakness that cost you?

I'm researching what separates good CEOs from bad ones from people actually doing the job, not from books or LinkedIn posts.

Two questions:

  1. What's one skill or habit that made a real, measurable difference in how you lead?

  2. What's one weakness (yours or one you've seen in other CEOs) that did real damage?

Concrete examples appreciated. War stories over theory.

Context: I lead a team and I'm trying to learn the real skills of the role. The courses I've taken are 90% inspiration, 10% instruction, so I'm going straight to the source.

Giraffes? Giraffes!

I've been listening to g?g! for ages. They're my top band, they're great. But I've noticed they don't have many listeners. They're a duo! My favorite album is pink magik

1,2,3 HTB at vegas

This is the second time I've been able to see them. And this time I brought my CDs. I'm a huge fan, and even though I don't speak English very well, exchanging words with them is amazing.

I've always seen them as people dedicated to what they love. HTB did incredible things, and they did it for the love of their art. I think I scared them a little because I was so excited to talk to them.

My wife still teases me about how excited I get at HTB events.

I still have more songs to listen to, so I'll try to keep going to their concerts.

Saludos de La baja
