In case someone wanted to see the stats, though what should we do with it ? It’s 1.430kg, NIJ I (not surprising though), and cherry on top, it’s not an apparel so once destroyed, wiped, or lost, it’s a gone Nam drip.
Here’s my CQ Gunny Rank 4 build trying to imitate AR western brands with custom parts.
I think it’s a great lower with nice recoil pattern, it’s also very cheap, and the lightest AR15 lower available at the cost of -4 ergo (which I don’t consider to be a great stat for now, preferring good recoil control for good following shots).
I always take 20" barrels because of the velocity and 5.56 best yield being between 17,7-20" (SBR are castrating the cartridge, it would require higher pressure cartridge to limit the velocity loss at 14,5" and below) I would like to test 18" but sadly, it’s an heavy barrel profile with heavier weight for no real benefits (devs??).
I love the fact it’s semi-auto only, it solves my minor "OCD problem" (always do multiple checking animation, closing the dust cover after fights, checking mags multiple times…) and I consider full-auto to be a scam on assault and battle rifles, LMG are there for this suppressive, waste of ammo reason. Burst is an eighties mode effect that isn’t more relevant tbh. Plus you can shoot very fast in semi in case of CQB with controlled recoil.
On the downside, it looks like the lower is subject to a short durability value, dunno if it’s a cerebral illusion or not as the said value is in percentage, but I do think AK and other AR lower make the weapon more durable with the same used ammo, if real, it’s a shame but I, overall, dislike the durability system in the game.
Voila, that’s why I play the CQ, though I also appreciate the ratnik AK platform because of the ergonomics of it and reminds me the FNC.
Don’t ask me why, but the less buttons I have, the merrier for me, AK only have a reciprocating handle (having both FA & charging roles), the selector and I like that, what I regret is there’s no AK guns in semi only (any civilian 5.45/5.56 AK pattern would do), any AR15 upper with reciprocating handle or og AR18 so it would delete this for me to "ocd" it… I like simplicity and hate redundancy.
TLDR: I like the CQA1 for AR15 platform and semi only is better. Would appreciate more Semi only weapons.
