Taking a break from the Heresy to read about some rowdy boyz

Time to finish the Dark Imperium trilogy. Can’t wait to see how it ends.

As much as people warned me not to read it, I will judge it myself. Also the completionist in me will be mad at me if I skip.

I’ll be sad when I’m done all the Cain books every single one was a banger start to finish.

I feel like I should do a review of this book that’s how good it was. I enjoyed this book so much it might make me a Black Templar fan(not one of the cringe ones I hope). I was told a while ago that the best Black Templar books are the ones where they learn not to be so much like a Black Templar. This book was a great example of this with the overarching story of Grimaldus trying to come to terms with his new rank of Reclusearch. I really enjoyed the switches in the povs and how each character came to terms with the battle for Helsreach. I think Andre was one of my favorites and how he was able to break the bleakness with a little comedy. The ending lines “They call me the Hero of Helsreach. As if I were the only one” was an all time favorite line and way to close a book .
