If You Had to do it all over again, would you buy the Volvo C40 again?
I've been researching cars for the past few months, and I keep coming back to the Volvo C40. I absolutely love the styling. It looks classy, modern, and different from everything else I see on the road.
This would also be my first EV, so I'm trying to do as much research as possible before making the jump.
I would say I probably drive 30-40 miles per day. Sometimes less because I work from home a couple days a week.
A family member keeps telling me I should just get a Honda CR-V or Toyota RAV4 instead (neither of which I like AT ALL ) and insists that Volvos aren't reliable and the fact they aren’t selling new C40s in the US anymore isn’t a good sign.
One thing that does concern me is what I've read about the infotainment system. I've seen posts where people say software updates caused issues, and in some cases the car wouldn't start or certain features stopped working.
I'm not sure how common those problems actually are, but it's definitely something that's made me hesitate.
So, for those of you who own a C40:
If you had to do it all over again, would you buy it again?
If not, what would you have bought instead?
For reference, we're a family of four with a teen and a tween. We already have a midsize-to-large SUV, so space isn't a major concern.
I test drove the C40 and really enjoyed how it drove. My only real complaints were the cloth seats and the lack of power adjustments for the front passenger seat.
I'd really appreciate any advice.Thanks!
