Anyone ever have an app reviewer actually purchase the app? lol

Anyone ever have an app reviewer actually purchase the app? lol

Before anyone asks - I've check a bunch of times and confirmed this isn't RC Sandbox.

Mostly curious - I asked the same thing in apple developers but figured there are more experienced people here.

Here's what happened:
I saw my app go into review. It got approved and a few seconds later Revenue Cat showed a notification that someone purchased the lifetime package. This new lifetime price is only available with this update (i.e. no one else could even purchase this) - I've confirmed it's in RC production and not sandbox. I've also confirmed in Posthog that the country from RC matches the alleged reviewer's.

I've had reviewers "purchase" the app before but always with their sandbox account and nothing ever showed up in RC.

Anyone else seen this? lol

Using social media without addictive features - Android level control on iOS (DIY project)

What is it:

DIY project I've been working on. This is a really crude prototype of the YouTube native app being prevented from opening shorts on iOS using Android Accessibility settings. The accessibility setting run on a completely separate device so they don't have access to your entire phone.

Why:

I unfortunately enjoy and need a lot of functionality provided by smart phones - so when I look for solutions it is usually onto of existing devices. Of all app blocking adjacent solutions, ones that block addictive features instead of entire apps have been most effective for me personally. Unfortunately this level of control is generally not possible on devices without surrounding serious privacy controls (Accessibility API on Android and Screen Recording on iOS). Not only that but even with using screen recordings on iOS to block features, the mechanisms I've seen seem to rely on computer vision which seem less effective than the Android accessibility counter parts.
The goal here was to see what it would look like to bring the Android level functionality to iOS without so many privacy concerns.

So what:

I've been in this space for a while now, trying to see what works for me and others. I mostly only use YouTube so web view solutions with app blockers have been effective for me. But others rely on instagram for communication and business matters - the instagram web view is terrible.
Using on iPhone has also been helpful for me because of my MacBook so even if privacy wasn't a concern I'd still want something for iOS.

I'm curious what other people think. The final form of this would be a self hosted solution or a little device that you carry with you (maybe attached to the back of your phone). I think the privacy implications are huge here. And even though the iOS screen recording solutions I've seen are technically impressive, I just don't want an app recording my entire screen every time I want to use this.
