Waitlisted for mandatory class
I am an incoming BSE student and waitlisted for design lab. When do I find out when I get off the waitlist? It’s a mandatory class so I don’t know what happens next?
Thanks!

My understanding is that if you place out of Chem 1 & lab, you can take Applied Chem Eq & Reactivity instead of taking Chem II & Lab.
Does anyone have a view on whether this is advisable? Are the professors better for Applied Chem? For BME majors, is it advisable to take the entire chemistry sequence even if you place out of a chem class, or does taking Applied Chem instead of Chem I & II make sense?
Also, how does getting AP credit for Statistical Analysis I EN.553.111 help for graduation requirements if it’s not a course that’s required in engineering? It looks like we start with EN 553 311 for sophomore year (Intermediate Probability & Statistics). So what exactly do you get credit for with AP stats? Is it simply four elective credits? Or is it not usable as an engineering major?
Thank you in advance!
Are the WSE Academic Advisers well versed in engineering? My student (incoming WSE Freshman) has an adviser assigned to them (apparently for the next four years!) who just started at JHU last year and doesn’t seem to have any type of STEM or engineering experience. Is this something to be concerned about or does it really not matter?
