Jerry Cahir Appreciation Post

What a season for a man who started September in the AIL as an amateur and went on to do us proud in the champions cup final and the URC final. The man was an absolute beast, stepping into the void to cover for some high profile injuries and he did it in style.

It's a shame there isn't a space for him in next years squad, but it's great to see him on his way to Connaght as a URC winner. Hopefully over the coming seasons we might uncover a few more jems through the same pathway.

Will there ever be a Cherrywood Town Center?

The Cherrywood Town center site is up for sale. Hopefully someone will take it up and progress the abandoned site.

When the whole Cherrywood development was being proposed one of the big selling points was that they planned to get the infrastructure in place early so that residents would have amenities in place when they move in. This town center was originally supposed to be complete about 5 years ago. It was delayed and then ultimately abandoned after the pandemic.

I'm surprised that this was just allowed to fall by the way side when it was central to the original planning application for the area.

Lowe deal revoked!

So James Tracy, speaking to off the ball, said that there was a contract on the table for Lowe to stay another year, taking him up to the world cup.

At the last minute this was cancelled by the irfu and a new deal was put forward for half the money.

If this is true it's a disgraceful way to treat a player who has done so much for Leisnter and Ireland for the last 9 years.
