Good peaks in the US for beginners?

Hello! I hiked Pikes Peak through Barr Trail a year ago and took the train down. I absolutely loved the experience and was hoping to get a little more into mountaineering.

I am 30 years old and a complete beginner. I have been training for a few months now, running, stairmaster with weighted vest, rucking, etc… and feel like I might be at a good spot to try something more challenging. I obviously have no winter mountain experience, and I live in the Southern US, so not a lot of altitude experience either.

I was hoping someone could recommend some good places I could start off at to slowly build up my experience to try a winter mountain in a couple years?

Best for travel photography and videos?

• Budget: ~$2000
• Country: USA
• Condition: New
• Intended use: Photo and Video for travel and everyday candid street photography.
• Style: Street, nature, and travel. Some low-light because I do firebreathing and it looks cooler at night.
• What features do you absolutely need: Both RAW and jpeg in case I don’t feel like spending too much time in lightroom. 4k video. I also like looking through the viewfinder and not just the screen.
• Portability: I would prefer something portable for travel/hiking, but willing to go with something bigger if necessary.
• Cameras you're considering: Fujifilm X-T5, X-T50, X-M5, X-E5, Sony S6700.
• Cameras you already have: None.
• Notes:

I want to get back into photography and videography. I will mostly be taking pictures of random lifestyle moments, candid stuff, nightlife, nature, and places I go. When it comes to video, I want to make travel shorts, and nightlife.

I really liked the X-T5 and love how it is weather-proofed but I feel like it might be too bit for everyday carry…

Should I keep cutting or start bulking?

I am 30, 5’11ft, male. 4 months ago I was very skinny-fat. I weighted 170 at ~25% body-fat. I felt really uncomfortable in my body, especially with my face, which seemed to hold all my fat. It didn’t help that I am bald.

I started cutting, counting calories, lots of cardio, etc… and now I’m weighing 155 at 16.5% body fat. I look much more athletic, like my face a lot more, but I also look skinny.

My plan was to cut to 12% and then start lean-bulking, rinse and repeat.

I am afraid that if I cut to 12%, i’ll be looking super skinny instead, at around 145-150. Should I keep my original plan, or should I stop cutting at ~15% and then start lean-bulking?

I really don’t want to go back to anything higher than ~18% body fat because I hate the way my face looks at that amount.

[Discussion] One of my beta readers told me my names sound like AI

I sent the first three chapters of my novel to a few people from my writing group and one of them said the names I use look AI generated, to which some of the others agreed. This is baffling to me because i’ve kept a list of names I like since forever, and most of the names I use are straight out of that list. I basically add any name I like that I come across.

As a writer, i’m sure i’m not the only one that’s a sucker for less common, cool-sounding baby names.

Anyways, now i’m worried about having to change the names because I really like them. The problem is, the names belong to some of the major characters so I am afraid that if what they are saying is true, then it could make some people believe I used AI for my book and start doubting every em dash (which I already try to avoid even though i’ve always used them).

The names in question are:
- Alaric (father of MC)
- Arthur (father of main rival)
- Elias (main rival)
- Zara (main romantic interest)
- Atlas (a classmate from an important family)

It seems the only important names they didn’t flag are the name of my MC, Theodore (blatantly stolen from a HP fanfic side-character) and his best friend Charlie (americanization of my own middle name).

Anyways, the question is: Is this something I should be worried about? Are the names really a problem? How would you feel if you read a book that had those names for important NPCs?

I looked up a list of commonly-used AI names and some of those names do come up… but that list is like 50 names long. Those names also come up in most “cool uncommon baby names” lists on google!

Edit:
Thanks for all the feedback! You were all extremely helpful and i’m feeling much better. As per the feedback, I will look into changing a couple of these because they do sound a little similar to each other, but not because they sound like AI.
