My advisor put me in an online course for introduction to visual arts instead of an in person class. Will the cost differ at all?

I’m an incoming freshman who has been assigned an advisor for helping me choose classes, but she isn’t available until late next month. Will most classes already be taken by then? I have heard that many freshmen have already chosen their classes.
