Do you think traditional herbal knowledge is slowly disappearing?

I recently visited a few villages in the Indian Himalayas and noticed something interesting.

Many older people still know which local herbs are traditionally used for different purposes, how they're grown, and even the best season to harvest them. But when I spoke to younger people, very few were familiar with this knowledge.

It made me wonder:

  • Is this happening in other parts of the world too?
  • Do people in your family still pass down knowledge about local herbs or plants?
  • What's one traditional remedy or herb you remember learning from your grandparents?

I'm genuinely curious to hear stories from different countries and cultures.

Looking forward to reading your experiences!
