How does vat work with a coupon?

So I’ve decided to get something which is over £135(I’m importing to the uk).
With a discount it comes down to about 170ish but I was wondering is all the import fees will be calculated on the discounted price or the original one.
Thanks!

Order cancelled??

So I just ordered something yesterday that I’ve been looking for for years and buyee said they purchased it successfully.

But I checked my phone this morning and they said the order was cancelled due to ‘convenience of the seller’.

What does this mean and is it worth it to re-order the same item?

Thanks all in advance!

So I just found an item I’ve long been looking for at a price I can live with, I’ll be importing it to the UK.
It is over £135 so VAT and customs are expected, but I’m not sure how they’re calculated.

I’ve heard that vat is calculated on the total price of the item and shipping, but I’m unsure if I it’s calculated individually (like one charge for vat on the item price and one on the shipping) or if it’s calculated on both prices added.

I also have a 12% off discount code for the item price, so I’m not sure if vat will be calculated using the discounted price or the price listed on buyee.
I also don’t know if the buyee service fee is also factored in when vat is calculated.

And I’m completely clueless on how customs is calculated.

Here are some specifics of the item to help with calculations:
It costs £174.69
It is an action figure
It’s estimated weight is just north of 204g

Thank you all so much in advance for your help!!

Looking for one of my grail figs and I just found a jjk0 yuta for what looks to be a better price than most places. Hope this reaches someone looking for him!

Note that the listing details ‘minor box damage’ which I couldn’t see, and also ‘stored by an amateur’ and the only thing that I can see about that is a very slightly yellowed torso piece.
That being said, if you don’t mind the almost non existent box damage and slightly yellowed torso, here y’all go.

So I’ve found a bid on JDirect Auctions that I’m gonna try for, and it says it ends in one day.
I’m sure that a while ago I was able to view a more precise end time, but I can’t remember how or if it was another listing.
So I was wondering how to view a precise end time for a JDirect Auctions item.
Thanks in advance all!!

So I’ve been wondering, yk how if you import anything with a value over £135 into the uk you get charged a hefty customs fee?

Does the proxy mean that doesn’t happen?

Like you pay the item price, but technically didn’t import it for that price? Are you only charged customs if the shipping fee is over £135?

I bought something off buyee which was under £135 but with shipping added it went over, but I didn’t get charged customs, is that because it was 2 separate payments and they think I only imported something with the price of the shipping fee?

Just wondering because I found something on there for £175 without shipping and wondered if I’d get hit with imports because it’s over 135 in one payment.

Thanks for advice in advance!!
