I didn’t even notice until today the length my regrowth has gotten, it is like this at varying lengths around my head. My TE started in February in 2025 and was horrible until July 2025 when I decided to get on oral minoxidil. My ends are still thin, but I have been starting to feel a little more bulk at the roots. If you’re debating whether to start minoxidil, I’d say just do it. It’s the only thing that helped my shedding.

Also I do not use any heat on my hair and haven’t for over a year, so this is not breakage.

My temples were dang near bald when I started OM after a bad TE episode. 10 months later and this is the fun wavy regrowth! Before and after photos. The one with my hair up is from July 2025, right when I started OM

Sharing to show what 9 months on .83mg of oral minoxidil can do. This is the regrowth that sticks up when I blow dry. Second photo is my shed from the shower and brushing when wet. I lose about 15-25 hairs per wash (every other day). I was losing 150+ hairs per wash when my TE was active. Posting to show it does get better… albeit very slowly. I expect to need at least 6 more months to feel recovered.
