When we were light as the clouds

When we were light as the clouds

I was watching Charlie Brown with my kids this morning and I heard this song (written by Ben Folds) for the first time and I found it really touching. My child was a classmate of one of the 27, and even things like hearing media talk about his 8 year old classmate feel like a punch in the gut because they’re 9 now. She should be 9 too. But this song, while not about the floods, gave me a small bit of hope to cling to that these girls spent the days prior to last July 4th in a world of joy and happiness.

“There’s a mist rising up
forming clouds from the lake
And the oak trees are whispering
Shh, it’s gonna rain

Guess I oughta be sad
'Cause goodbyes are heavy
But here I am now
And I feel as light as the clouds

Let’s get together and scroll through old pictures
Of people and places we’ve known
Of a lifetime that began only five days ago”

First time lip filler diy

I swore I would never get filler - the permanent nature of it scares me and I’ve seen too many bad results but after experimenting with hyaron in my lips for a month I couldn’t resist and decided to go for it.

I know it’s not perfect but I’m taking it slow. I focused on the middle only because I found with hyaron that injecting even small amounts on the outer 1/4 of my lips doesn’t look good with my face. So, I think I could use just a touch to blend better but I’m going to see how they settle first.

This is about 70 units from a 1 ml syringe of Elasty f plus. I wasted the first 30 units getting a hang of consistency and seeing if I would be able to get it through a 32 gauge needle, and surprisingly, I could. It just makes the process very slow. I aspirated for 15 seconds (probably longer) with every injection and took my time. I don’t like topical numbing so I never use topical numbing for hyaron or this but was pleasantly surprised by how much the lidocaine mixed in with the filler helped even after just one injection point was done.

I actually did about 20 units the first night and let them settle and wanted to see how I felt when I woke up the next day and just wanted to make sure I didn’t have a bad reaction to it and then did the remainder the next night.

I have one more syringe if I want to add. I actually only did about 20 units on my bottom lip and the remaining 50 on top. I know the ratio of bottom lip size to top lip isn’t perfect but again, I’m just going to feel this out for a few weeks before deciding what to change.

Open to feedback, though! I definitely feel so much more confident. I feel like my lips were so thin before that there wasn’t much room to go but up and I’m happy with where I got them and I’m so glad I practiced with hyaron for so long and with so many different injection techniques and needle sizes/angles, etc.

Hyaron! Where do you buy?

Y’all, I’m addicted to meso hyaron 😅. I must be lucky because I can handle it without numbing, I don’t bruise at all and if I do it at night, the bumps are gone by morning and it looks great. It plumps my smile lines and makes them disappear and plumps areas where I need just a touch of volume. I also put just a bit in my lips and it is a game changer for me.

I’m scared of filler so using hyaron is perfect for me - even if it only lasts 3-4 days. I think there’s also something to be said about the actual poking being therapeutic in some ways for building collagen as well.

With that said - is $40ish about the cheapest you have seen the set of 10 hyaron?

Is there anything like hyaron that is cheaper or comes in vials? I’ll stick to what works but if there’s a more affordable alternative, I’m open to trying something new.

Thanks!
