Buzz in my PC
So i’m not sure if this is the right subreddit for this but my Dell XPS 8700 case is carrying some kind of live electrical charge. I feel a heavy buzzing feeling and get shocked whenever I touch the metal case or the HDMI cable connected to it.
Here is what I already tried to figure out what's wrong:
The HDMI cable shocks me even when the other end is dangling and not plugged into a monitor at all.
I swapped the main power cord with a working one from another PC, but it still buzzes and shocks me.
There is another PC plugged into the exact same wall outlet and that one is completely fine, so the wall outlet should be grounded properly.
I opened the side panel and checked inside. Visually, everything looks plugged in right and no random loose wires are touching the metal case.
Since it's not the wall outlet or the cord, is my power supply fried internally?? Or could it be a hidden short circuit behind the motherboard? I uploaded a photo of the inside. Let me know what you guys think because I really need to use this PC, Thanks.
