I recently brought home a young guinea pig because mine was lonely after his bonded pair passed away a little over a month ago. I couldn't find one to adopt or rescue in my area like I did previously. I went to PetSmart . They are unsure of the age but obviously not full grown. I'm relatively new to owning guinea pigs. I was wondering if I should be offering alfalfa hay or is he old enough to just eat the Timothy hay I feed my adult boar?
For clarification, the enclosure you see in the corner of the pic is where my Syrian hamster is housed . My guinea pigs are in a C&C cage.
