Hello!

So my nephew broke my laptop's screen yesterday, and I was wondering if it was possible to change the panel to another type than the model's exact one.

My good ol' reliable 5510's screen connects through a 30 pin. Are all 15,6" screens with a 30 pin connector compatible or will I find issues if I take a brighter one/one that is 2k instead of FHD? Can I pick an OLED screen or do I have to replace it with an LCD?

Do I have to pick exactly the same reference?

(I'm a tinkerer, if the laptop dies before the screen, I will find a way to use the screen somewhere else)
