I started taking vocal lessons about 1.5 months ago maybe a little less but point is I am having trouble using my range. So my teacher has gone through multiple test for my range and I’m a baritone with 2 octaves and a fifth of range, I have no musical experience and I also don’t sing very often at all and haven’t much growing up because I was always so embarrassed. I supposedly have all these notes I can hit but in real singing I struggle to. I just don’t know if there is something that I am doing wrong from the beginning and would like to k ow if anyone else has this problem. It sucks because I can’t even begin to “expand” my range without first getting a hold on what I already have.
