Is a full rewire required?

I'm purchasing a 1950s renovation project and this is the electrical set up. Id like to know if a full rewire is always required?

I have no idea what I’m looking at. The downstairs plugs looked newer than upstairs and there is a rear and side extension.

Happy to hear what everyone thinks…

Level 2 Survey should I be concerned?

I’m buying a 1970s house which has been extended in 1990. Sellers have advised they do not have the docs for the extension as the house is probate - this is my first worry, any advice? The survey did not flag anything alarming about the extension - “We found some movement to the internal floors, walls and ceiling associated with the extensions and internal alterations which should now have ceased.”

The level 2 survey has come back advising “the roofing felt to the main roof and garage roof has rotted to the eaves and this requires further investigation by a roofing contractor. Potentially, it will be necessary to strip the roof back and replace the felt which will obviously prove to be costly.“ Am I right to think this would be common in a 1970s house or should I be worried and factor in a new roof asap?

The house needs a full rewire, kitchen, bathroom, joinery work to the stairs etc. Our offer was accepted £10k under asking, would you re-negotiate?
