Hi, my dog has got a CCL injury, vets have gave him meloxicam to help with pain and inflammation and recommended strict rest to start with he is 15kg and vet is hopeful conservative management will work but was reluctant to give me any sort of %, my insurance doesn’t cover CCL injury (maybe should have read the fine print in hindsight) but here we are and will need to make it work for the wee man.

Has anyone got any tips, success rates or story’s or advice on how to keep him stimulated he’s pretty high energy and weeks of crate rest is going to send him loopy.

Today my dog was out with dog walker, he was playing fetch when he squealed and immediately started limping. He’s came back home and not weight baring on his hind leg, he’s showing no other signs of injury apart from that he is quite happy to let me touch and move his leg, no obvious swelling or lumps or cuts no licking ect, has been eating just maybe a little quieter than usual however had a very long walk. Should I let him rest a day or two, or take him to vet immediately?
