Is the “wealthy man + unconventional woman” marriage trend becoming more common?

Have wealthy men changed what they look for in a wife?
Has anyone else noticed that lately, a lot of high-end escorts/former escorts or women who traditionally wouldn’t be considered “wifey material” are ending up engaged or married to extremely wealthy men, even billionaires?
At the same time, it feels like the whole “date for years and then get married” thing is disappearing. People seem to meet, date briefly, get engaged, and marry pretty quickly.
Are wealthy men just caring less about a woman’s past and “wifey material” now? Or am I just seeing a very skewed trend online?

Should I Walk Away From My Engagement Even Though We Still Love Each Other?

My fiancé (25 and I (18) have been together for a while and after we got engaged he begged me to move in with him from Europe to Miami. I eventually did, and in the beginning everything was amazing. I genuinely thought we were building a future together.

But after a while, things completely changed. He became emotionally unavailable and distant. I understand he had work stress, but our relationship basically died emotionally and physically. Our sex life became almost nonexistent (1-2 times a week), and he would just sit in his gaming room smoking hookah by himself. We wouldn’t even eat dinner together — he would take his food and lock himself in his room for hours. He would only go out of the house to go hang out with his friends, drive his hyper car, or go to clubbing. That became my life for six months.

Then one day I caught him cheating — messaging girls, flirting, hiding things. When I confronted him, he basically justified it by saying that men don’t have emotions attached to those things the same way women do. Somehow I still forgave him because I loved him and wanted to make things work.

A few weeks later he found texts from a guy in our building had been texting me for only 24h. I’ll admit the guy flirted with me and I didn’t shut it down, but nothing physical ever happened. After that, things became even more toxic between us.

Eventually we both left Miami and went back to our home countries, I eventually came to visit him for a couple weeks there and left. We were long distance for about four months. During that time, he randomly called me one day saying he had a surprise and told me he had flown back to Miami. He said he was excited because now I’d be able to come back and see him. He never followed up.

2 days later after I called to ask him if he wanted to come with me and my family to Saint-Tropez and Monaco this summer. He said he was too busy with work. I told him I understood and asked if he’d rather have me come see him in Miami instead.

That’s when the conversation completely shifted. He started bringing up the past again and telling me what I did was “worse” than what he did because I’m a woman. He started saying he’s tired of dealing with this relationship and doesn’t have to put up with it anymore. He kept accusing me of “becoming a Miami girl” when I’m there, even though I barely had a social life. I don’t even have social media, I only had one friend that I would occasionally have brunch with, and I mostly just went to the gym, Pilates, salons, etc. I wasn’t clubbing or having dinners. I ended up crying and begging him not to throw the relationship away because despite everything, I still love him.

He then told me that if I want to come see him, I need to “prove myself from afar” first for the next two weeks before he might consider seeing me.

I know a lot of people are probably going to tell me to leave, but part of me genuinely still wants this relationship to work because I lost my virginity to him and I personally don’t believe in having multiple bodies or treating intimacy casually. I really pictured a future with him and wanted this to be my forever relationship. I especially want to hear men’s perspectives on this situation and honestly ask: if you were in his position, what would you want from me at this point? Is there actually a healthy way to rebuild trust and move forward together, or are we too far gone emotionally?
