Oh how I empathize

It’s funny watching movies and TV that highlights not just the glory of conquest but how the minute pain in the ass aspects of actually managing a realm/dealing with vassals is so relevant and you can totally feel how much that sucks from playing this game enough.

This game is so awesome and “weird”

It’s so much fun. I’ve spent multiple all nighters just playing a mundane yet so engaging experience. I also love history, and love getting into the “lore” of a game you make yourself (like sports games), so it’s the perfect mix for me. I love CIV and total war too.

But this game is something else. It’s easy to be average, almost impossible to dominate a legitimate worldly empire. (I’ve played 2 total campaigns but both were very long, so I know I’m new still and learning).

But good god, it’s so weird how you can sit there and just watch the screen clicking a few buttons barely even moving characters and counting every number, checking all 100 tabs constantly, for your kingdom to just collapse. And I couldn’t have more fun playing it.

For my next campaign, im thinking Kingdom of Heaven…the Crusades & Holy Wars based around Jerusalem. Thoughts?

Unreal run

Had a queen, who created a kingdom, was 5th ruler, and ruled for 38 years with full clean succession. She had leprosy, one leg, flagellated, survived 3 plagued, scarred to hell, and killed multiple kids/grand kids. Squashed 3 rebellions. Tbh might have to start a new one because no one is going to replace that legend
