New to the PNW

Hello all :) as the title says I'm new to the PNW. I've always enjoyed being in nature but I've never hiked anything like what's here.

I want to start doing a lot more hiking and I'm just curious what kind of hiking gear is actually essential here in the PNW. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

Unable to see DAS when putting into another computer

I have the Terramaster D2-320 which is Direct Access Storage. I've had it for about a year and have had no issues. I've been using it for my media server. Configured it for RAID 1 with NTFS file system on my main Windows 11 computer.

I recently got an HP Prodesk and wanted to move my media server to that. It's also Windows 11. However, when I plug in the DAS it isn't detected as a drive. It shows up in Control Panel and Device Manager as a USB but it doesn't show up in file explorer as a drive. Nor is it in disk management.

If I plug it back into my primary computer it shows up without issue. Does anyone know what might be going on here?

Any help would be appreciated because I'm lost at this point. Thanks!

Hoping someone can help me out here. This isn't a jellyfin issue but it is Jellyfin adjacent, I guess. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

I have a Terramaster D2-320 DAS (direct access storage, not a NAS) for storing my media. It plugs directly into my computer and appears just like any other drive. I set it up about a year ago on my primary computer with RAID 1 configuration. No issues using it for Jellyfin at all.

Anyway, I got my hands on a little HP Prodesk and wanted to use that as a dedicated Jellyfin server. However, the new computer won't show my DAS when I plug it in. I hear the noise letting me know something has been plugged in and in device manager it shows the USB device. In Control Panel it shows up as a USB device as well.

But the drive doesn't show in file explorer or in disk management. I have no way of accessing it whatsoever. From my understanding there are no drivers needed and I've even checked Terramaster's website. The only download for this DAS is some backup software.

I've checked online but can't find any help on this issue. Both computers are running Windows 11 and the DAS is set up with NTFS. Plug it back into my primary computer and it shows up without issue.

Just not really sure what I'm missing here. Thanks in advance for any help!

Played a ton of Warped as a kid but this is the first time I'm playing the first one. It's insane to me that saving the game requires reaching a bonus area of the level... and if you mess up and don't make it to the end of the bonus area... that's it. You can't save.

You either have to start the level over to get to the bonus area again or keep going until the next bonus save area shows up in the next level or two. All while hoping you don't get a game over before you can save.

It's not that big of a deal in the beginning game but late game when levels are tougher and longer... man, it's brutal.

Unless I'm big dumb and I'm just missing something.
