I have been wanting to try mosaic art but haven't had much money or space to spare. I found this kit on sale at Michael's for $10. The pieces were pretty large and a uneven. I enjoyed trying to put together my own design instead of the flower template provided.

The grouting part was difficult, my grout job is uneven and it was messy. I think having uneven spaces in between tiles was making it more difficult. I found it really tough to get grout between the wall of the tray and the tiles. I got grout all over the inside of the tray.

Anyway enjoy looking at my silly lizard

It seemed really thin and watery when I touched it, had to go back to work so I couldn't investigate. I sat in my car with the air on for 25 min to eat lunch, and this was all on the ground after. It is very humid where I am. Came back about 1.5 hours later and I saw a stain on the concrete from where the leak was

I'm training for my first half marathon on 6/13, I'm really wanting to run an ultra as well. I found one that would be really personally important for me to complete on 10/11/2026, minimal elevation gain, 10 hour completion window.

I have my half scheduled for 6/13 and then a 10 mile race on 8/22. I used hal higdon's marathon 1 plan and added another run on Sundays instead of cross training. I do plan on cross training with yoga and leg strengthening exercises as well. I think I'm going to wait until August to sign up for the ultra to see if I can handle the mileage.
