I have a 2013 Honda Civic Hybrid that I have never had key remote problems with (besides normal battery replacement). The key stopped working, so I tried to replace the battery (two times just in case one of the batteries was a dud) but it still is not working. I also checked the fuses for the locks, which all seems okay — to the untrained eye at least — and I tried re-syncing the remote based on what I found online. None of this stuff has worked. Wondering if anyone has any tips or could help me figure out how to fix it, I would love to not have to pay and I currently can’t lock my car because the physical keyhole is broken (courtesy of the previous owner).

I found this steering wheel in my recently purchased tdi Jetta. I was wondering if it was worth anything or just a cheap aftermarket wheel. Or if it came from a different VW.

The car has about 120k miles on it. I’ve had it for four years with zero issue. I’ve had a recent oil change and was inspected in February with no issues. I know any estimate yall can give me will be super general and it will vary shop to shop. Just trying to get a vague idea of how much this might cost.

Gf saw these dots on a car and didn’t know what they are. I my self am in the automotive industry and do not know what these are. Are they some sort of anti radar gun accessory

A weird hissing noise was coming out. There seems to be air coming out. Soapy water =bubbling. When I pushed down on the clamp the noise dissipates but does not disappear. How can I fix this?
Also it does seem like a bit of oil on it and around it?

i didn’t hit anything was driving fine on the highway and as i make and home and i’m reversing into my spot, i hear a sound and the entire front wheel is off. i’m in the middle of the street i can’t even finish parking z what even happened and what needs to happen and how much will it cost ??im just so confused

Anyone know what part of the car this is? Its by the rear side.

SEAT Ibiza 1.2 2014.

I just bought a cigarette lighter to replace my old one. In order to replace it, it says I have to remove the orange/red housing, however it gets stuck in this position and won't slide forward any more.

I assume this is because the cigarette lighter coil is in. I also cannot remove this as it's flat to the surface.

Any ideas? Thanks.

We live rural and have mouse/rat problems somewhat often. Taking apart our bumper, I found these vent looking things with loose rubber flaps. I don't know what they are or what they're for, but my guess is that they ensure the air pressure inside the cabin is the same as the air pressure outside.

Now I'm reasonably sure this was the point of ingress for the mouse that got into our car and ate up a bunch of the plastics a while back as I found some similar mouse scratch damage around here.

So what I'm wondering if there's any reason I shouldn't add some kind of metal grate overtop to prevent mice in the future. It'd be super cool if such a product already existed, but I am somewhat doubtful. I expect I will have to make a destructive mod to add such a grate, which is a shame, but the mouse was a huge headache for weeks and absolutely destroyed the interior plastics.

I just don't know what these flaps are actually doing so I wanted to ask beforehand. Cheers in advance!

Good morning. I replaced my Battery and Alternator yesterday due to my truck popping up this alert. I used my blue tooth obd2 and the car scanner app.The previous alternator was give me 11.1v even when driving on the freeway. Now with a new battery and alternator I’m getting 13 to 14.05 volts on average. At 6:20am I turned on the trucks AC and saw it dropped down to 12.2v but went back up when I drove on the street to the freeway 13+ volts. I turned off the AC at 6:25am. When I went to some stops, I let it idle and the Charging System now alert popped up. You can see around 6:30am and on, I did 4 stops and I see that my volts drops as low as 12.2v without AC running. What else can I do to fix this?

Sound happens when the car is rolling, but goes when I press accelerate. Mechanic told me axle but it didn’t fix it.another told me it might be the transmission but I don’t think so

Hi I have a Mini Cooper - 2019 plate. In pretty good condition, only done 40,000 miles and interior is good condition etc.

However I have one small dent and 2 scratches on the side.

I’ve had a few quotes between £300 - £700 to fix them.

I’m looking to try sell the car soon so I really don’t know enough about cars to know if getting them repaired will improve the value considerably. I do need to get as much as I can though.

Any thoughts would be very welcome please!

My lovely car blown its radiator now that's simple. It's the reason im skeptical about whether it was just old or does my v8 overheat. i was wondering if i should pay extra for a good radiator or just cheap out and buy other parts?
