Anyone know of groups/events for practicing small talk?

so this is kinda embarrassing to admit but i genuinely struggle with casual conversation. like real bad. if its a meeting or something with a clear topic im fine, i can talk about that all day. but the second its just... chatting, my brain just goes blank. someone asks "hows it going" or we're just standing around waiting for something to start and i have NOTHING. like zero ideas of what to say.

ive read the generic advice (ask open ended questions, talk about the weather lol, etc) but knowing the theory doesnt really help when im actually in the moment, you know? i think i just need actual practice with low stakes people who arent gonna judge me for being awkward.

so wondering if anyone knows of:

toastmasters style groups but for casual convo instead of public speaking

meetup groups specifically for social skills practice

any apps or discord servers built around this

even just like... regular hobby groups that happen to be good for chatty practice

honestly anything helps at this point, even if its something you tried that didnt work for you, id like to know why. just trying to find a place where the whole point is practicing this stuff instead of feeling like im the only one who cant just "wing it"

question for streamers - app idea

Not sure if this is a dumb idea or something people would actually use so wanted honest feedback from streamers here

I tried streaming a while back and one thing I really hated was playing to 0 viewers. No chat, no reactions, no one cheering when something cool happens or roasting you when you mess up. It honestly made streaming feel kinda awkward and less fun

So I started building a Windows app that uses AI to watch your gameplay like actual viewers

Basically while you play, you can have AI viewers watching live and reacting to what you do in real time. They can comment on your plays, hype you up, roast bad decisions, act like chat basically. You can also choose what kind of audience you want

I originally made it for myself because I realized even having a fake audience somehow made playing feel way more fun and less lonely

Now I am wondering if this could actually be useful for new streamers who are starting out and hate that early phase where nobody is watching

Would you use something like this or does this sound pointless

Just curious what actual streamers think
