This is my experience at AYA after visiting a couple times and this was my 4th VI peel session.
I had an appointment in July: I called ahead because I was delayed by an accident, and the esthetician reassured me there was no need to reschedule. She said she was actually glad I made it as she was herself caught in traffic.

The peel was extremely rushed, with no rest between layers. Skin prep and sensitive areas protection were omitted. My jawline, under-chin, and temples were completely missed. I was literally rushed out.
I called the same day to ask for a touch-up, but they decided to schedule me for a complimentary corrective peel for August.

During the peeling process, I experienced significant burning around my nostrils and mouth, resulting in a deep black line right under my mouth. I was hoping to address this during the corrective session.

The week prior to the appointment, I reach out several times to discover the esthetician was no longer available that day, and I had to call again to get rescheduled for another day.
I arrived at 9:08 AM, just as the doors opened, but the esthetician immediately refused service, repeatedly stating that she would not see me due to my prior complaint ”even if you pay me millions of dollars.”
She explicitly acknowledged that the treatment had not been performed properly, but still said, “I will not see you regardless of what you say.”

She also repeatedly referred to her upcoming appointment as a “paying customer.”

When I asked why I had not been notified beforehand, noting that I had driven 30 miles and taken time off work, she replied, “So did I!”

Her attitude and sudden abrupt gestures disproportionately escalated the situation. The receptionist did not intervene but was staring at the esthetician the whole time. I felt highly anxious and forced to leave.

I emailed the manager and she called, immediately apologizing on behalf of the esthetician.
She said the esthetician didn’t mean the above statements in a disrespectful way. And it is actually in an effort to « keep you coming back and make sure you have the best experience this time ». Lol
She also tried to say I was late to my 9 am appointment and I reminded her that they’ve just opened when I walked in.
I also encouraged her to review their camera footage.
She agreed and never called back.
I emailed their complaints official and still didn’t hear back.
What do you do in these circumstances ? I am seeing a dermatologist next week
