Wondering if anyone can comment on VIHA - is there a demand for MSW's in Victoria in VIHA, or not so much? Currently working at VCH (palliative, have several years of experience) and wondering if there's much opportunity in Victoria specifically - the jobs I have seen posted externally are mostly casual and MHSU focused.

Wondering if there's any social workers here working for Island Health. Currently working at Coastal Health in Vancouver and wondering- What does the job market look like in Island Health for an MSW? I've worked acute on a medicine unit (several years experience). I hear there's a lot of work in geriatrics/long term care and in addictions/substance use, is that true?
