Drop Ceiling Lighting Upgrade Help!

I have an office space that has an existing drop ceiling (like one seen in the photo) that we are trying to update, along with the rest of the office space. We have decided to keep the tiles as the cost for replacing them through the entire office is quite costly.

What lighting recommendations do y’all have? Volumetric troffers or grid lights (see second photo)?

Thanks!!

Treatment Planning Courses

I have been practicing dentistry for about six years, pretty much doing only single-tooth dentistry. At this stage in my career, I am interested in transitioning toward more comprehensive treatment planning.

My main challenge is learning how to diagnose, present, and discuss comprehensive treatment plans without seeming overly aggressive to patients. As a younger dentist, I want to effectively address potential patient concerns, such as why their previous dentist never mentioned these issues or whether the recommended treatments are truly necessary.

Could you recommend any continuing education courses, books, podcasts, or other resources that you have found useful for mastering comprehensive treatment presentation?

Thanks!!

Operatory Cabinetry Advice

Hi everyone!

I am looking to replace the cabinetry in my dental operatory as the current setup lacks sufficient storage space and the drawer slides are failing.

I recently received a quote from a local cabinet maker for $130,000 to outfit 5 operatories. This includes 10 wall cabinets (each 60”x16”x30”) with laminate countertops, a sink, a trash chute, and standard drawers. See pic for general reference.

This price seems exceptionally high to me, and I am hesitant to proceed at this cost. Does anyone have recommendations for alternative companies or solutions they have used? I am even considering options like IKEA if they are viable.

Thanks!!

Ground cover Options

Hi everyone! We are currently planning on removing all of these bushes and gravel, leaving the olive tree, and redoing the landscaping with a more polished and clean look using compact bushes/grasses. For the ground cover, we were initially considering decomposed granite. When getting bids for the job, we have had multiple different recommendations for the ground cover, however.

One Landscaper advised against decomposed granite saying that it will spill over during rain and get onto the concrete. Another said that DG would be fine and shouldn’t be an issue. Anyone have any ideas or recommendations? Anything you would advise against in this scenario? Thanks!!
