Motivation to Continue: Feedback Request

I am trying to find the motivation to continue with a novel I've been working on. I have a blueprint (not final narrative prose, but kind of a short story version) of the first three parts (of five) which I've tried showing to friends and family and... none of them have been interested. I don't know if that's because the story sucks, is boring, or it's just not their thing, but it's been incredibly disheartening. The lack of feedback is worse than negative feedback. I can correct that, but when they say "yeah, I'll read it" and then don't, I don't know what to do with that.

I would be greatly appreciative if anyone would be willing to take a look and let me know if this is worth continuing or not.

Novel Set in St. Mary's

I'm currently working on a novel that is primarily set in St. Mary's County. I haven't started writing the actual prose yet, but I have a kind of "short story" version blueprint.

Would anyone be interested in reading it? I'm wondering if there's a market for this type of story.

Genre-wise, it's fundamentally a love story, but it's more complicated than that.

Hello everyone,

At the start of the month, I began work on writing a novel. It's something that had been bouncing around in my head for years, but I finally decided to dive in. It's also terrifying, since I've never written any fiction in my life. Since then, I've been developing a number of reference documents that build the world-state; profiles of the characters, groups, and locations; and most importantly, a high level synopsis of the story itself.

The question of the day is that I'm working on the emotional hammer that hits in the very final scene of the final chapter of Part II. For this to hit the way I intend it to, there's a very specific order of events and knowledge attainment for the characters and the reader that I need to happen; falling off the tightrope either leads to diluting the final impact or making my protagonist potentially look like a monster.

Would anyone be willing to read this with a fresh set of eyes that don't know what is going to happen and then give me feedback on how they interpreted the scene?
