225K Delta + $120 nonstop vs. 130K Flying Blue + $748 via AMS - which would you choose?
Trying to decide between these two options for JFK → ATH:
Option 1: 225K Delta SkyMiles + $120
✈️ Nonstop JFK → ATH
Option 2: 130K Flying Blue miles + $748
✈️ JFK → AMS → ATH, with a brief stopover in AMS
The Flying Blue option saves 95K miles, but costs an additional $628 cash and adds a connection.
Which would you choose, and why? Is saving the 95K miles worth the extra cash and longer journey, or would you take the nonstop Delta flight?
