Question: Is orespawn + crazy craft possible still?

I've seen videos recently of some people remaking the orespawn mod i was just wondering if thats still a thing complete or if there are alternatives that are better to bring a whole crazy craft+ with new mods in the mix such as a successor

BHVR's Anniversary Cakes and "Cake Fix" Is a Scandal filled with Greed

I've been playing since the game's initial release, so I've seen many of the events. Every recent event feels like the worthwhile rewards have become harder to get, and after tracking both my own results and a friend's, I don't think today's alleged "fix" to the Cake situation really addressed anything.

Here's our Data:

My Friend's Results:

Per 10 Bloodweb Levels (Before the Fix)

Method Cakes
Manual 2
Auto 3

Per 50 Bloodweb Levels (Before the Fix)

Method Cakes
Auto 7
Manual 14
Auto 11
Auto 15
Auto 11
Auto 17

Per 50 Bloodweb Levels (After the Fix)

Method Cakes
Auto 11
Auto 18
Auto 8
Auto 5
Auto 19
Auto 20
Auto 21

12 Full Prestiges (Before the Fix)

Method Total Cakes
Manual 130

My Results:

Per 10 Bloodweb Levels (Before the Fix)

Method Cakes
Manual 1
Auto 3
Manual 4
Auto 2

Per 10 Bloodweb Levels (After the Fix)

Method Cakes
Manual 5
Auto 5

Per 50 Bloodweb Levels (Before the Fix)

Method Cakes
Auto 22

Per 50 Bloodweb Levels (After the Fix)

Method Cakes

Manual 20
Auto 20
Auto 23

12 Full Prestiges (Before the Fix)

Method Total Cakes
Auto-Purchase 175

From our testing, it doesn't seem like BHVR significantly increased the overall chance of Cakes appearing.

Instead, it looks like they slightly increased the chance when manually doing Bloodwebs, while auto-purchase is almost unchanged. Even then, the increase is tiny. Overall, it just feels like they balanced the numbers into a slightly more consistent range rather than meaningfully increasing Cake drops.

They also increased the overall rarity of Cakes, which is the bigger issue.

So while they called it a "fix," it feels more like a minor adjustment that doesn't actually restore the previous drop rates.

Compared to previous years

As someone who's played since launch:

  • Earlier Anniversary events could often give around 100 Cakes per prestige.
  • Last year's event generally gave me around 20-40 Cakes per manual prestige and roughly 75 Cakes per auto prestige.
  • This year's event isn't even close.

It also feels like BHVR has been giving out less and less Bloodpoints over the years, despite Bloodpoints being the currency required to level characters and obtain consumable items. Cakes aren't permanent unlocks, they're single-use offerings, so making them increasingly scarce doesn't make much sense.

Then, after increasing Cake rarity, they compensated players with 5 million Bloodpoints, which doesn't solve the actual problem. More Bloodpoints don't help much when event offerings appear less often, especially considering many players already spent tens of millions of Bloodpoints before the "fix." Five million is only a fraction of what many people invested.

For a company reportedly generating hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue each year, this feels incredibly disappointing.

Every year we seem to lose features, get very little meaningful new content, long-standing bugs remain unfixed, and now even Anniversary farming feels worse than before. Despite all of that, I still see people defending these decisions, which I honestly find hard to understand.

EDIT: New data from a friend today Per 50 Bloodweb Levels (After the Fix)

EDIT: Cakes are only evidently increased on characters that are already P100 for obvious reasons, but not by nearly as much as people seem to think. Even then, the rate is still significantly worse than last year, and nowhere near the amount we had during the first eight years of the event.

This also makes the change largely useless. You're effectively forced to already have a P100 character, and then you're forced to continue grinding Bloodwebs on that same P100 just to get a reasonable amount of Cakes, while the rest of your characters remain untouched, locked behind poor Cake generation, and left to rot.
