How do y'all regulate your emotions to not be triggered by other ships with your F/O(s)?
I'm personally very open to sharing when it comes to my f/os, so that's not my problem. But when I see people shipping my f/os with other characters in their media it really triggers me and I hate it. I don't like feeling angry/sad every time I see someone disagree with who I think is the "best ship" because I know that everyone is different, everyone likes different things, I truly don't expect everyone to agree with or conform to my opinions. But knowing all that doesn't stop the emotions. I just hate this one specific ship with one of my f/os and a lot of the time the fans of it are very rude and dismissive because it's the most popular ship in the fandom atm.
I was just hoping anyone might have tips on how to let it go without feeling it so personally when, again, I logically understand people like different things and my preferences aren't the "one true way" or whatever. I just feel like these people have too much power over my emotional state by expressing their own opinions and I want to change it.
