It's freeing to have less clutter

I'm middle age and have lived in a house with my spouse and children for almost two decades. I realized several months ago that I had accumulated a lot of things. I've been working towards simplifying and although am not quite a minimalist yet, am working my way there.

It's nice to wake up in the morning, walk to the main living area and see a solid 1/3 less stuff! I'm also making my way through more but have to start somewhere. I figure if it took 20 years to build clutter, taking several months to minimize is acceptable.

I'd been somewhat depressed and not loving life as well. Cleaning my surroundings has helped bring my baseline up a bit.

About the only thing I'm having trouble navigating is sentimental items. I love to cook and my grandparents gave me a couple of things I'm not sure I have space to store but don't want to part with.

Anyway, not quite a minimalist. Working my way there. Want to fit everything I own in a car again like I did when I moved out for the first time. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Riding front runner with an electric scooter?

I'm planning on riding front runner tomorrow evening with a bit of a larger electric scooter. Kind of like the lime rentals only with bigger tires. I assume I can bring it on front runner and fold it up and all. It'll be around the end of rush hour but will this be a huge problem? Or what sort of etiquette do I need to know?

Thanks in advance! I've never ridden front runner. And the only public transit I've used is in other cities so I want to make sure I'm being respectful.

What book changed your life?

I'll have some free time this weekend and am looking for a good read or audiobook. I've been in quite the rut recently and could use a good book. What's something you've read that's changed your life? Or had a meaningful impact?

Where to buy a good watermelon?

Watermelon is amazing. However, I completely lack the skills to buy a decent one at the grocery store. I've tried seeing a big yellow spot, knocking on it, and just randomly choosing with no luck.

Is there a place that routinely has good produce? I'm not really able to easily do weekend farmers markets all the time, so is there an alternative?
