Yall gotta stop hating on Ken Carson

Yall are so corny. Just cuz there’s some Ken Carson fans who hate on yeat doesn’t mean yall gotta act like insecure cornballs over an artist you clearly don’t like dropping an album. It’s literally not even related to yeat, go to the r/kencarson sub

Why Yeat needed ADL

This might sound crazy but you gotta think about a few things before bashing this take.

- To make truly generational music you must approach any creative activity like a scientist. You have to release music to receive feedback and do a trial and error style of releasing to find the perfect sound for you.

- Yeat did this for his 2021-2022 and ended up with 2alive which is a fan favorite. Then he started testing out a darker sound with Lyfe and Afterlyfe and ended up with another great work with 2093.

- He took a step back after mixed reviews and released Lyfestyle which was a commercial failure, he learned his fans don’t want the lazy looping and not as many fans wanted the rage back as it seems on the internet.

- He then dropped DS which is his style mixed into a more mainstream sound which did well, and he likely took this and thought watering that sound down even more will lead to great commercial success

- ADLs release will show him that nobody wants the playing it safe unoriginal sound that he likely thought would be very successful because of DS performance.

Now what I’m getting at is that his entire career has been him experimenting, he wants to make true art and he’s still finding his way. He’s only 26 and been in the spotlight for 4 years, he’s still at the beginning of his career. I think this album was a wake up call for him to not water his sound down into boring mainstream slop, and the next album will be something very unique hopefully.

“Yeat fell off”

At least Yeats 2021 music is getting the love it deserved. People used to clown you for liking yeat then and now that’s all people ever talk about when it comes to his music. The way people talked about yeat then vs now is so funny to me
