Genuinely curious how everyone is doing out there --

I'm a solo esthetician in Northern CA, I've been in business for 2 years and theres been highs and lows, parts of me loves being in esthetics and skincare, and the other half wishes I did something else. Social media has sucked the passion out of me, and don't get me wrong I love social media but the amount of ads/accounts I see saying post x amount of days, do this font/style, talk like this not like that, use this hook, etc... my mind is going to explode. I'm exhausted!

If anyone has a solo practice and wants to share how their feeling i'd love to hear, or anyone in the field. Has anyone opened a business and then closed it? If you could do it all over what would you do differently?

SFBWT what self-care treatments are we doing lately? Love seeing my esti in the city for a facial, chemical peel, or Hydrafacial but haven't gone to get an advanced treatment. Any recs on where to go + what treatments to get?

which one are we liking better (esthetician vs medspa vibe)?

If you see an esthetician what are some expectations you have for your treatment? Are Hydrafacials still worth it?

Love a good dinner and drinks but its getting old, I want to start exploring new events or things to do with my girl friends. I'm in my early 30's and like to be in bed by 9:30 or 10:30p the latest (I value my beauty sleep and my hour long night time routine that brings me joy lol)

Would love some ideas!

Besides a sense of fashion, what do you think the city needs to go back to its vibrant days?

When I moved here in 2018 it was booming with energy and I fell in love immediately but then covid happened. It's now 2026 and I can't decide if I want to stay here or move. SF is so beautiful but sometimes I wish it had a sprinkle of NYC or LA in terms of culture, diversity, fashion, etc.. I know every city has it's thing but SF could rightfully so be THAT city but what're we missing here?
