Survival tips for working with other timezones
Hi bitches!
I work as a PM in a big tech company and a huge part of my team and stakeholders is in Asia. I love them! But, lord, the odd hours are slowly killing me... 7:30AM calls. 9PM calls. The several messages that were sent while I was asleep and that need a response before the other person goes to sleep. Plus the regular hour calls due to the US part of the team.
Yes, I know the hours also suck for them. Unfortunately, changing jobs or saying no to late night meetings is not a possibility for me.
Even though I take breaks during the day for gym and errands, I feel like the whole day is revolving around my job, from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep.
If you have a similar situation: how are you organizing your life? Any advice besides setting boundaries or quitting?
