I'm coming down to Frisco this weekend for the 4th of July!
What are your secret hidden gems that are must see, you know, the stuff you'd only share with someone you were close to?
Where should I stay? (Haven't booked a room yet, lol)
Where is the best place to go to get a clear view of the fireworks?
I've been here a bunch of times, but I won't tell you what I've seen, what I'm thinking about seeing this trip, what I like, or what my budget is. 😀
Also I'll need a safe place to park my completely packed car for a week.
The whole city smells like burnt burritos and sadness now.
How could the serial arsonist be so cruel as to hit such a beloved icon? All the Cantina has ever done is bring life to this city, feed us, and inebriate us. The Cantina is love.
The mods will be locking any future posts that aren't from SFGate or the Standard even though that's the easiest way to share videos and important safety updates.
Why isn't everything I pick the absolute best? Why does the coffee shop I go to keep serving the stale croissants that people (including me) keep buying?
And okay, the weather is maybe better than NYC, I'll give you that, but people aren't actually paying more for that, are they?
This double parked truck with a generator in the back has been charging a dead Tesla for two hours. Apparently it's a service offered by a tow truck company. I suppose it's like when AAA brings you a gas tank when you're stranded on the side of a road.
I know a lot of people are ready to move on, but if anyone didn't see Josh's video and wanted to, Vangelina has posted her reaction and FatSajak might as well.
Vangelina went to watch the video on YouTube and Josh deleted all his videos when she was about 2 seconds in so the screen went black. 😂
Fortunately FatSajak had downloaded it and came to the rescue and sent it to Vangelina.
I put quotations there because no one can truly know if AI is an actual bubble yet. I’m asking this question bc seemingly everyone I talk to in SF, including a good section of my own company is incredibly invested into AI and the future with AI.
Would SF be in absolute shambles?
It's been real, but I'm finally about to be one of those people in the ruling class you peasants like to make fun of so I think it's time I remove myself from your unwashed presence, you poors.
Oh are you triggered? Did you feefees get hurt? Grow up and take some reading comprehension classes 😀
You're all preemptively banned from the kids' center I'm going to open in SoCal. It's going to have whatever the kid version of blackjack and hookers is!
And do I have a grammar error in my title? Yes. But none of you pointed it out, so my point about you needing reading comprehension classes has been further proven. Checkmate!
Title editing fail: Why do you keep listing what your kids love to do in the comments?!?*
Hi all, I was parked in the Ranch 99 (N Wolfe & Homestead) parking lot today, Sunday 6/21 between 11:45am - 1:15pm and discovered my car was hit and no note left behind. If you were in this lot around this time and happen to have dash cam or sentry mode footage, could you please let me know? I drive a white Audi Q5 and was hit on the driver side back bumper.
I checked with Ranch 99 and they don’t have cameras covering the parking lot. I will be checking with the BMO bank tomorrow.
Photo attached of exactly where I was parked.
Thanks!

It's hard to believe that it's only been 6 months since Mayor Daniel Laurie welcomed our savior, Taco Bell Cantina, to the troubled Wharf District. It's amazing how the time has just flown by!
Now that there is a proper restaurant to anchor it, tourists are finally discovering the diamond in the rough that is the little known Wharf District. Not only that, but the renewed energy that the Cantina has brought down to the Wharf has spread to the entire city and managed to Baja Blast crime away.
Robbery is down 26% YTD, burglary is down 27% YTD, motor vehicle theft is down 28% YTD, bipping is down 43% YTD, human trafficking is down 38% YTD, arson is down 66% compared to 2025, and murder is down 39% compared to 2025!
All thanks to the domino effect of the Taco Bell Cantina helping uplift this city. Thank you, Yum Foods!
So make sure you stop by your nearest Cantina or Taco Bell/KFC and have a taco today to celebrate and show your gratitude to our corporate benefactors for saving the City.
We are SO back!

Went to the Palo Alto ikea today. They were out of the chicken tenders. The thing is, we drove from Santa Cruz to SF with a planned stop at ikea for their chicken strips. One of the few things my autistic kid will eat. No warning. No sign. Waited for 20 min in line at the cafeteria just to be told at the head of the line that they don’t have any more today. How can they be sold out? Is there no buffer for peak usage? Could they buy one more freezer?
Speaking of the cafeteria, it was understaffed. So many customers so few staff. One person at the register. Only half the cafeteria was open, so not enough servers. The lingonberry soda was out (already paid for it, nobody mentioned it) and I didn’t want to wait in line again for a refund.
Every table was filthy. The racks where dirty trays go was overflowing.
Where is your staff, ikea?
Daddy has once again partnered with our benevolent corporate overlords to bring life back to the City!
The Powell Street Promenade revitalization will feature more of the City's signature LED light art and more Cantinas than Starbucks and Walgreens locations at their peak combined!
Look forward to wider sidewalks; new landscaping; and a series of decorative lighting features, including programmable lanterns inspired by the area’s historic architecture. A large, suspended, spherical LED installation near the Cable Car Turnaround, which will change colors with the seasons — rainbow for Pride, green and red for Christmas, purple and teal for Tuesday — anchors the design. I know Tracy isn’t technically Bay Area. It’s 7pm 6/11/26 and the warehouse is still burning. Smoke blowing in very direction and to the Bay. No deaths reported. They say air quality is good but judging by this video I took. I would be cautious out their fam.
Location: Tracy, CA
They could always just go study engineering NOW. After I was done with engineering I took my millions and went to med school so I could keep myself busy. Stop being bitter and just get a tech job helping a company destroy society, get as much money as you can, and then follow your bliss.
