Mistaken Asian middle name as first
This applies more so for Vietnamese names since I'm Vietnamese, but applies to anyone with a fully Asian name with a middle name: do people call you by your would-be middle name in your language instead of your would-be first? If you're not entirely sure what I'm talking about, some Asian names go in the order of "Last Middle First", and that would turn into, "Middle First Last" when you immigrate to the US.
I came to the US when I was 14 and for the first 3-4 years I didn't stand up to myself and correct people about this, and neither did my mum with my name (I never ended up changing my name when I naturalized since my first name is easy enough to pronounce). I recently had an interaction where my manager addressed another Viet person like this and I caught myself doing once too before correcting myself.
