AltRx is a scam.
I came across an ad for Tirzepatide for $149 a month, claiming no price increase with increased dosage, through #AltRx. I go to their site (back on the 6th) and submit my info and put in my card number with the understanding I wouldn’t be charged until after speaking with one of their clinicians and getting a prescription. They charged me right away. Then I kept getting emails and texts for links that wanted me to schedule an appointment with a clinician that wouldn’t let me book an appointment. I call support and explain what’s happening only for them to send me the same link I already had. A week ago I finally got somebody to book the appointment in their system for today (the 20th) at 2:15PM.
The phone call I was supposed to get from the clinician didn’t come through, but I waited for my phone to ring for another 30 minutes beyond the appointment time and I called support. The guy said he wasn’t sure why they didn’t call me but he offered to book another appointment for me. I took a good while and explained to him how this process had unfolded thus far and followed up with saying if he couldn’t get a clinician to call me today I would be wanting my money back. He said the best he could do was to escalate my case and have a provider reach out to me in the next 72 hours to schedule a time to call me. I told him to just refund my money. He claims I’ll see it refunded in the next 5 business days but I doubt it.
PSA, AltRx is a scam.
