NASW conference 2026

Is anyone else attending NASW 2026 annual conference in DC in June? I am, but currently do not know anyone else who is going so it would be really cool to chat with others who will be there.

Anyone in Michigan want to connect? I am trying to expand my network

Hi!! I am a late 20s social worker in michigan and looking to get to know some more people who are also in the field. I am open to getting to know people from across the U.S. but just thought it would be extra cool if anyone here is also from Michigan.

Trying to create a chosen family

My husband (30sM) and I (late 20sF) moved to the area fairly recently.

Neither of us have good relationships with our families because both sides have done some pretty terrible things to each of us, individually.

We had a solid network from the part of MI we moved from, but we're like 2 hours from there now and the relationships are changing even through they're still important.

We intend to remain in the E.L./Lansing area for the indefinite future since we both have good jobs out here.

I am the one mainly looking for friends since my husband is cool talking with his on Discord, but we're open to couple friends too. I really like music, movies, baking, crafting, farmers markets, cozy video games, the beach, working out, the outdoors, mental health/self care, and a lot more. Feel welcome to reach out if we have things in common.

The Mental Health Collective on BFF

This is a space for mental health professionals (more than just therapists) across the U.S. to come together to support and connect with one another. :)

  • Coffee --> caffeine free tea, considering trying decaf coffee soon
  • Most chocolate --> white chocolate in moderation/small amounts
  • Orange juice --> I haven't experienced issues with apple or grape
  • Bananas --> most other fruit that is not citrus is what I eat instead
