How to stage an impromptu debate!

I have it on very good authority that Mr. Tom “Hideaway” Barrett will be having a private lunch meeting at Lansing Brewing Company tomorrow from Noon to 3pm. Couple of reminders:

They have ample parking.

There is a back and front entrance if he tries to secretly exit without speaking to his constituents.

If he won’t meet with us on our terms we need to make sure every meeting he schedules is exposed to the public.

Would be really fun to see Will Lawrence there ready for a debate?

Hope to see you tomorrow.

cookies

I made boutique style cookies today to try to teach myself how to bake but I made way too many. I also don’t know really any people in the area because i’m fairly new so I was thinking about maybe just giving some away in an attempt to maybe meet new people AND offload some unnecessary sweets

If anyone wants any hit me up in dms. I’m planning on giving away two plates of three each.

Inviting all children who stutter to volunteer in a paid University of Michigan MRI Study!

The Speech Neurophysiology Lab at the University of Michigan is looking for children who stutter ages 9 to 12 to participate in an in-person, longitudinal MRI study! (HUM00196133)

Our research team has been examining brain development in young children to better understand the cause of stuttering for over 10 years. We continue to gain information that may eventually lead to improved diagnosis and treatment efforts for children who stutter.

Participants will be invited to complete speech and language assessments and an MRI session at the University of Michigan. Families receive a free speech and language report and a picture of their brain!

These visits require in person participation. There is no option to participate virtually.

Please fill out this form if you are interested in participating or email us as the flyer attached. All participants are compensated and partial travel assistance is available. Please see our flyer attached for more details!

We also offer other studies that are open to adults or do not involve MRI, in case you're unsure about eligibility. Feel free to email us or call if you have any questions!

Best priced junk removal service?

I have a very large, broken sectional couch. When separated, one side is about 90 inches long, and the other side is about 80 inches long. Both are 36 inches wide. I know that a lot of places offer free quotes, but I’d prefer to not call around a whole bunch, so I wanted to check here first to see what options are most affordable :)

If location changes the suggestions, I’m right next to Okemos

Spanish conversation groups?

Hi everyone,

Just moved to this city and was wondering if there were any Spanish language conservation groups or similar here? I've been learning Spanish for work but would love to get more 'real life' practice in. I did a quick internet search, as well as this sub, and didn't see anything. Gracias!
