I've gotten used to expecting the incoming doom posts, so I am throwing this out into the mix. I think each one of the new 1 DP detachments offer a cool flavor. Punching up with either Paladins or Interceptors, cool. Interceptors move then surge move then charge: also cool. S10 Psycannons ignoring all hit modifiers, pinning opponent and possibly robbing primary at the same time: a fair reason to take Purgs. And, I'll point out, nobody knows it's a fact that WTF is getting nerfed. If it's 2 DP that will be awesome to pair with any one of the add-ons.

Also, GW confirmed in this faction focus that melee Psychic is ignoring modifiers too. That's hit & wound modifiers, which will negate a lot of things that stand in the way of our damage reliability.

Count me among the GK players looking forward to 11th.

In case you missed it. Per @OfficialWarhamner40000 channel Q & A, Psychic keyword weapons will ignore modifiers to hit and to wound. That's a big deal. Heard nothing yet about modify to damage (stupid C'tan & DeathWing), but Psychic is coming up big from the era of being a nerf, or useless at best.

Purifying Flame, Psycannons and Heavy Psycannons. Ignore modifiers, which basically means ignore cover AND opponents datasheet or army rule hit modifiers. Glad to see that. I am also seeing 11th leaks producing more melee buffs than ranged, so adding a buff to the best shooting GK has is positive. Happy about those 2 things, don't try to take the jam out of my donut!

I can't figure out which unit it was. Played RTT. DA player had a squad that had free overwatch (not that unique) but he said their overwatch hit on 4's. It was also really good shooting, not some 4-0-1 crap. Is that combo legit or did I get tricked?

Edit: I remembered it wrong. It WAS the Votann player, it was the Steeljacks. So it's legal. Just broken. And extra broken for armies that shoot 24".
