Newbie question- Overwintering

I live in western North Carolina, and currently have a half dozen or so carnivorous plants in 6” pots. I added sphagnum moss to the pots this year, and most of the pots are really looking good. I overwinter the plants outdoors in cooler areas (unheated workshop, garage, etc.), where they get cold temps and some sunlight without being exposed to the harshest conditions that Mother Nature inevitably throws at us every year. I also dial back the hydration - everything stays damp, but not waterlogged.

My question is simply- will my sphagnum moss endure this type of dormancy?

Summer Camp acorns for Robux pets?

Wondering if anyone would be interested in trading burger bears or s’mores raccoons for acorn items? Thinking maybe 100,000 acorns for a value of 50 Robux? So a burger bear would get you 200,000 worth of acorn items, and a s’mores raccoons would get 300,000 worth of items?

Super Noob Question...

I just received a shipment of live sphagnum; it is intended to be top-dressing for several carnivorous plants that I have (substrate is 50:50 perlite/sphagnum peat moss). Upon examination, I notice that each plant has a "head" on one end, and that got me wondering:

Do I need to plant each individual moss body into the soil, carrot-style, with just the "head" sticking out of the substrate (please, oh please let this NOT be how it's done), or can I just lay all of them out in a layer on top of the substrate like a pile of sticks, and keep them damp with spray bottle?

If layering them is adequate, are there guidelines as to how thick the layer should be?
