As a long time S2000 fan and new owner, somewhat of a surreal moment for me visiting ASM. Been following their work forever, and quickly they’ve become world renowned and track proven, their shop is naturally JDM holy land. Hard to apply logic walking through their retail, especially when you have a car you plan to keep OEM. Lucky me, I ran into a fellow US S2K owner to bounce a bit of logic off of and share our mutual awe of where we were at. Seeing Kanayama-san in the garage doing his thing.
Also a unicorn in the shop that day as well: first gen NSX Type S. Staff was also excited about it when I asked about it. There is an even rarer Zero edition if you ever played early Gran Turismo games. Honestly not sure if this one is a Zero, though. He showed me photos of the interior, and it shared the same orange color as the exterior in a two tone pallet with black. Really lucky to got to see one in person.
There’s so much magic in car culture, times like these where I say non car ppl are truly missing out.
I think I deciphered exactly how Honda intended us to store things in the three compartments of the center console on the S2000. CD’s at the bottom (jewel cases), sunglasses at the top front, registration and documents at the top back. Also have the garage door remote on the elastic band of the bottom door. How are you guys using these spaces?
