I've seen a lot of trolls and memes about Drishyam 3 by now, but honestly most of them didn't bother me that much.

The one thing that genuinely felt off to me was this:

In Drishyam 2 (2022), Georgekutty was so cautious that he even installed CCTV cameras at the cable TV office to monitor activity around the police station. At that point, he had things relatively under control and wasn't under immediate threat.

Fast forward to Drishyam 3 (2026). He's much more paranoid, constantly worried about who might be after him and what could happen next. Given that mindset, I find it strange that he apparently didn't have CCTV coverage around the front of his house or the compound/fence area.

For someone as meticulous and security-conscious as Georgekutty, that feels like the biggest unanswered question for me.

Everything else—character conflicts, Siddique's role, even the Sahu arc being underwhelming can be explained or justified to some extent. But this is the one detail that keeps bothering me.

One thing I've noticed about Malayalam comedy.

Earlier, a comedy scene or movie could make you laugh even when watching alone. The humor worked one-to-one between the film and the viewer.

Nowadays, many comedy films seem to need a packed theatre or a group audience to create the laughter. Watch the same scenes alone at home, and they often don't hit the same way.

Have we lost genuinely funny writing, or has comedy become more dependent on crowd energy?

Many recent Mollywood movies feel less like films and more like a collection of Instagram reels stitched together — old movie referneces, reels trending dialogue usage(thaanur chakka), loud music, and scenes designed mainly for edits/status/reels instead of storytelling.
